  Absolutely brilliant hearty country food. Very big portions and doggy friendly.... They also serve Cornish Rattler on draught.... Will definitely visit again.

  Go here most times that we go show jumping at Chard Equestrian Centre. Great food served in very generous portions at a great price.

  Mixed feelings about our visit. Surprised to walk in and see a spacious, bright, modern looking seating area but due to the setting up of a band we sat in an older part which was quieter on this occasion. The carpeted area we were in had very dated decor and felt quite unpleasant to eat in. The two adults and two older children had burgers which were large and generally well received. We ordered a small portion of the lasagne for our 15 month old twins to share as they don't have a separate children's menu. They enjoyed it but whilst it was all home made it didn't look at all appetising and I'm not sure our older children would have eaten it if we'd ordered it for them. I'm vegetarian and opted for the spicy bean burger as the other two veggie options didn't appeal. On holiday nearby and it was our first visit. I wouldn't rush back.
